I've been thinking about how easily many people can be manipulated. The primary elections got me thinking about how many people just focus on image rather than substance. So few look behind the messages they are fed. So few question the motive of the messenger and connect the dots.
Are people so STUPID?
Or maybe we got ourselves some voter fraud also playing a role?

Humans are herd animals. Just like any other animal, some have a fiercely independent streak and desire to lead, while others have a tendency to follow. So, no, people are not stupid, they are simply herd animals.
This has direct implications for speculation, as the herd moves together, jumping from one asset or sector to another.
In relation to political choice, yes, people are easily manipulated, but don't forget, it only takes a small minority to start the trend that sways the remaining majority.

I think laziness governs behavior of majority of humans. Well, I probably should not say about majority, just about myself :) Path of the least resistance -- this is what 'we' often tend to choose. Thus, adopting a suggested point of view is a lot easier than developing your own. Just my .02 cents.
